The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is the supreme policy-making body of UCA. At the AGM, delegates elect a Board of Directors to take charge of formulating policies geared towards the development of the entire cooperative movement in Uganda and also hire the management team. UCA management structure is made up of 5 departments, the secretariat (which heads all the other departments), Finance & Administration, Monitoring & Evaluation, Agribusiness and Micro-finance departments. It has 9 regional offices spread across the country. UCA fully funds the Secretariat and the Finance & Administration departments. Cooperative development programmes are supported by development partners including We Effect (formerly Swedish Cooperative Centre [SCC]), Canadian Cooperative Association (CCA), VECO-Uganda, USAID Feed the Future Programme, International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) through Government of Uganda, Geneva Global, Interaction, European Commission and Eastern Africa Farmers Federation (EAFF).
